A team of SDM lawyers including Casey Dobson, Sara Wilder Clark and John Ellis won a complete defense verdict after a two-week jury trial in Travis County state court, in a dispute involving the purchase of commercial real property in downtown Austin. The plaintiff sought in excess of $100 million in damages in the suit, based on claims that the firm’s clients tortiously interfered with the plaintiff’s efforts to acquire the property and were unjustly enriched through a March 2020 acquisition of the property. The jury returned their verdict for the defendants, finding that no defendant interfered or was unjustly enriched.
