SD&M lawyers Steve McConnico, Jane Webre, and Ryan Squires won an appeal before the Supreme Court of Texas that resolved an important issue regarding the proper measure of damages in legal malpractice cases where the allegation involves an inadequate settlement in the underlying case. In affirming a summary judgment for SD&M’s clients, the Court also clarified the standards for expert testimony regarding the adequacy of settlement amounts in an underlying case.
