On May 3, 2016, at a Baylor Law Alumni Reception, Dean Brad Toben named SDM’s Ryan Squires as Young Baylor Lawyer of the Year. Ryan’s family members, law partners, and friends were in attendance to share in Ryan’s surprise. The award recognizes Ryan’s service to the profession and his community, his steadfast support of the Baylor Law Alumni Association and the Austin Baylor Law Network, and his dedication to the aims and ideals of Baylor Law School. This is not the first time Ryan’s accomplishments as a young lawyer have been recognized; in 2013, he received the Austin Young Lawyers Association’s Outstanding Young Lawyer Award. Ryan successfully manages a busy litigation docket and still finds time to serve his community and to spend time with his three children and his wife, Hillarey. SDM is proud to have Ryan—a good lawyer and a good person—on our team.
