Carroll Martin has been elected Chair of the Oil, Gas & Energy Resources Law Council (OGERL), the governing body for the OGERL Section of the State Bar of Texas.

Carroll came on to the Council in 2015 and has moved through the ranks of Council Member, Section Report Editor, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice Chair and Chair Elect.

The Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas was established in 1938 and is the oldest section of the State Bar of Texas. The Section is one of the largest and most active in the State Bar, with more than 3,000 members.

Scott Douglass & McConnico has had four lawyers serve as Council Chair: Frank Douglass, Flip Whitworth, Becky Miller, and now Carroll Martin.
