Michael is an accomplished state and local tax litigator. He primarily represents clients regarding tax assessments and refund claims involving all the major tax types.
Prior to coming to Scott Douglass & McConnico, Michael was an assistant attorney general for Texas where he worked with state agencies to enforce tax assessments and administrative orders. At the OAG he successfully obtained hundreds of judgments for the State and managed all aspects of litigation, including e-discovery related to a $1.44 billion bankruptcy litigation.
