Sam Johnson to Present on Ethics for Real Estate Lawyers

Sam JohnsonSam Johnson will present on “Ethics in Real Estate Practice” at the 51st Annual William W. Gibson Jr. Mortgage Lending Institute hosted by the University of Texas School of Law. Sam will discuss potential ethical pitfalls for lawyers and other dilemmas in a real estate practice.  The conference takes place September 28 and 29, 2017 in Austin, Texas.

Sam will discuss ethics, professional responsibility and when it’s time to consider new counsel. Sam Johnson and Kennon Wooten to Speak at State Bar’s Advanced Civil Trial Course

SDM’s Sam Johnson and Kennon Wooten will be featured speakers at the upcoming State Bar Advanced Civil Trial Course on July 13-15 in San Antonio.  Sam will address issues relating to legal ethics and professional responsibility.  Kennon will address dismissal procedures under Texas Rule of Civil Procedure 91a, including how Texas courts have handled cases involving Rule 91a and the extent to which federal dismissal standards have crept into Texas jurisprudence.  The three day 39th Annual Advanced Civil Trial Course will cover various civil litigation topics such as pre-trial evidence issues, spoliation of evidence and summary judgment practice.  Additional information about the course, including registration information, can be found here.
